Tickenham Tigers Junior group classes are held throughout the year during term time, under the Golf Foundation passport Scheme. All our PGA Professionals take juniors as young as 4, both on the driving range and the course to learn all aspects of the game. This has proved very popular. Please complete a registration form to add your name to the waiting list! Holiday School Concentrated tuition on a ¾ day basis during school holidays. Forms are handed to all Tigers and available from reception. Beginners Competitions From time to time during school holidays we hold huge Junior Competitions for all the Tigers. Ability on these days is unimportant because we have 3, 6 and 9 hole competitions. Parents and Professionals supervise and assist. All Tigers are encouraged to play. School Group Tuition Lessons are held for several local Junior and Secondary Schools. They are either part of the School day or an after School club. The same format detailed above in the Junior Group Tuition is used. FREE Tuition Please check the Tuition page to read the Free tuition details. Junior Membership Tots play free! To complement the changes we made at the start of the season, we are trying a further concession. Children under 7 may now play free, providing, they are playing with a member or a green fee paying adult and they carry their own bag with at least an iron and a putter. They may start each hole from the red tee markers or the start of the fairways and tee the ball up for every shot until they reach the green if required! The only restriction is they can't play before 12 on Saturdays.

Tickenham Scholars 2011  11th Anniversary of the Scholarship Awards, with Owner & PGA Fellow Professional Andrew Sutcliffe and special guest Myles Angel presenting the awards to Lucas Hayles, Henry Finch and Joshua Owen. Well done to you all. Myles started his golf whilst at junior school taking classes through the schools link with Tickenham Golf Club and has continued to take lessons at Tickenham. He now plays off 1 handicap and has represented Somerset as a junior and continues to represent the county at adult level. He gave an inspirational speech to the next generation of junior golfers. Tickenham Scholars 2010  10th Anniversary of the Scholarship Awards. 6 Lucky Tickenham Tigers were given Golf Club Memberships presented by Jim Cunning from the Somerset Golf Union. Connie Mansfield, Dominic Williams, Lucy Milton, William Hodges, Finnian Searchfield and Ben Greenslade were the winners. Tickenham Scholars 2009  This is the 9th year of awarding juniors FREE golf club membership. This year Hugo Miles has been given a Full Membership and Tom Henley and Zoe Hawkes have been given Standard Memberships.
